Quitman - Brooks County High fans loaded on to buses Friday to watch their Trojans play in the Class A Football Semi-Finals.
"We are going all the way to Atlanta to support our team. We are going to win. We are going to defeat the Lovett School and then we are going to defeat the opponent that wins; Benedict team or Lamar in the Dome because we have claimed that this is our year. We are going to be State Champs and we have no doubt about that ", says Gladys T. Lee, Former Brooks County Teacher.
Brooks County fans say this game isn't just about getting one step closer to that State Championship. It's also about remembering the lives of those three players that were tragically killed in a car accident on their way home from practice earlier this season.
"It will be a blessing, a very great blessing. Those boys will be with us on that field. They will be there", says Calvin Davies.
"It seemed like they just came together after that tragedy. The three young men. Two of those young men I coached in Little League Football. It was a tragedy but it seemed like the community just came together as a whole and we rallied around them and you can tell on Friday night that they may not be there, but their spirits will be there", says County Commissioner, Willie Cody.
