Thomasville, GA - Police say burglars who broke into a Thomasville home left behind something strange
Thomasville Police are looking for the people who broke into a home in the 100 block of 4th Ave Tuesday morning.
Police say the burglars came through a screen window and left behind a Japanese Katana sword.
No one was hurt in the break-in. Police are unsure what, if anything was taken from the home.
"A guy came through the side window on the back of his house and he seen a flashlight shinning through the room and he got up and said,' Who's that in my house?' and the guy ran. When he called the police, the police showed up and found a long sword leaning up against a bush in the backyard," said a neighbor describing what the homeowner told him happened.
Police are not sure where the suspects got the sword. But they are testing it for fingerprints.
There are no suspect descriptions available at this time.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Thomasville Police Department.
