Two paramedics were rushed to the hospital.
Around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a car versus ambulance accident at the intersection of Northside Drive and Patterson Street in Valdosta.
Authorities say Rachel Ocho, 24, failed to yield to an ambulance traveling northbound on Patterson Street.
The two paramedics taken to the hospital were Huey Obester and Allen Fountain.
"Both paramedics were transported to South Georgia Medical Center,' says John Chamberlain, with the Valdosta Police Department. "I'm not sure about their injuries at this time. It was pretty severe. It overturned an ambulance. So, it was a pretty severe accident."
Ocho, who suffered no injuries, faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to yield for an emergency vehicle. That's a three-point violation
