Cataula Church Moves Services After Arson Attack

Cataula, GA - November 11, 2012

Members of a Baptist church near Columbus will be worshipping elsewhere after their sanctuary was damaged in an arson attack.

Services at the Rehobeth Baptist Church in Cataula will he held Sunday at a nearby church in Hamilton.

The church was damaged Tuesday in a blaze that authorities say was set by arsonists. Pastor Charles Graddick told The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer that two pews were burned. A Christian flag, a display Bible and a communion table were also damaged.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office has charged 19-year-old Cody Ty Watson of Phenix City, Ala. and 37-year-old Larry Hutto Jr. of Cataula with one count each of aggravated arson. They were being held without bond Saturday. It was unclear whether they had an attorneys.
