The group's leader, Shannon Hall says their company, Saft, a French owned Chemical Plant in Valdosta Georgia, approached their department about cutting four positions so the men could receive full-time work during the week.
Hall says the company began cutting back hours in his department but didn't cut back anywhere else.
"This is our response to it right here because we're not willing to put our co-workers and our friends on the street," said Hall. "They've got families and everything else. Right now the economy is rough enough as it is trying to find a new job."
The company has denied to comment on the matter.
