At Brooks County's annual Winter Festival, more than 200 children visited Santa and enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate.

Buffalo Bills Defensive End Marcus Stroud donated $2,000 in toys for kids in the very community he grew up in.

His mom, Thelma McDonald, joined Santa in handing them out to area children.

"[It's] a privilege for us to see the kids smiling," said McDonald. "And after all, they're our future, and so we got to support them. And so, what he's thinking is they're gonna go on and, and they're gonna soar like eagles."

Following the festival, people toured historic churches and gathered for a tree-lighting ceremony on the courthouse square.
