Monday morning golfers turned out for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Ben Jackson Golf Tournament.

The event raises money for FCA camps.

Former FSU football Coach Bobby Bowden says it's important to fund the camps because kids who attend don't always have the best home lives.

Says Bowden, "Kids ain't got their daddies anymore -- you got one, you're lucky. I had one, too. But you know, most of the kids I coached didn't have a dad and so FCA is trying to help fill that void."

The annual event has been held in Thomasville for the past 15 years.

Organizers say Bowden has attended every tournament.
