The town of Coolidge, Georgia in Thomas County might see some booming business on Sunday's.
That's because places like the Food Champ in Coolidge can now sell alcohol on that day. The town's residents voted 'Yes' for selling on Super Tuesday.
Coolidge was the only town in Thomas County to cast ballots on the issue, and it passed with 59 percent of the vote. Both business owners and residents we spoke to seemed pretty happy with the decision.
"It's kinda good because now no one has to go to Tallahasse or Monticello to get liquor or beer, so now they have their alcoholic beverages presented to them at hand," said Coolidge resident Michele Giddens.
"Since the economy is not so good right now, definitely it's going to help my business...it's going to help Coolidge city also," said Food Champ manager Jay Patel.
