The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says a superior court judge will hear Byron Griner's case on March 7th of this year (2011).

TCSO says Griner bonded out of jail last spring (2010) and has since been under surveillance in an undisclosed county.

They say he is the main suspect in the April 2010 murder of his nephew, John Morris, who was found shot in the head at Griner's home.

Deputies say Griner claims Morris shot at him first, and he fired back in self defense.

We'll have more on this case when trial begins.
