Atlanta, GA (AP) - Gov.-elect Nathan Deal has named some new agency heads.
Deal announced on Wednesday that he'll appoint Sid Johnson as
the commissioner for the Department of Administrative Services.
Johnson is currently administrator of the Governor's Office of
Deal has chosen Cobb County lawyer John Sours as the new
consumer affairs chief.
Deal said he will nominate Amy Howell to serve as the
commissioner of the Department of Juvenile Justice. Howell
currently holds a deputy commissioner position at the department.
The incoming governor also said he will keep a number of top
state officials in place. Among them are state lottery chief
Margaret DeFrancisco and Dr. Frank Shelp, commissioner of the
Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
