The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has released the results of autopsies conducted on Christy Scott, Rodney Scott, and Stacie Dismuke.

They confirm the three victims died from gunshot wounds received on May 7 at a shooting in front of the Iron City Convenience Store.

GBI says there is no evidence to show either Dismuke or Christy Scott was pregnant.

[UPDATED 5-9 at 6pm]

Community members say they weren't expecting what happened Saturday afternoon.

Residents in the small town of Iron City, Georgia are leaning on one another as the deaths of three friends and neighbors reverberate almost as painfully as the bullets deputies say caused them.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says 35-year-old Stacie Dismuke, 29-year-old Rodney Scott, and his wife, 27-year-old
Christy Scott, died Saturday (5/7) when 59-year-old Larry Easterwood blocked their car in front of the Iron City Convenience Store and shot them through the driver's window with a .22-caliber rifle.

Says the Scotts' cousin, Christie Scott, "They were very good people. They worked just as hard as anybody could to provide for their family as anybody else would."

Deputies say Dismuke went to live with the Scotts after she and Easterwood's rocky year-long relationship ended in mid-April 2010.

Now, family and friends say their focus will turn to keeping the victims' memories alive for the children left behind in the tragedy.

Dismuke had an 8-year-old son and the Scotts a 5-year-old daughter who was in the car when the shooting happened, but wasn't harmed.

Another cousin, Amy Scott, says of the deceased,"They didn't meet any strangers. They were nice to everyone they come [sic] upon. They were respectful people. They would help anybody."

People in Iron City say they can't help but wonder why something so terrible happened to people they say were 'so kind.'

Deputies say they arrested Easterwood at his home about an hour after the shooting.

He is being held at the Seminole County Jail on three felony murder charges.

[UPDATED 5-8-11 at 7:10 PM]

Gloom overshadowed Mother's Day 2011 in Iron City, Georgia after a man shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and two of her friends.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says after Larry Easterwood and his girlfriend, Stacie Dismuke, split up in mid-April, Dismuke went to live with her friends, Rodney and Christy Scott, at their home in Iron City.

Deputies say on May 7, around 5:30 in the afternoon, on-going harassment between Easterwood his ex reached a boiling point, and Easterwood took matters into his own hands at the Iron City Convenience Store.

Explains Seminole County Sheriff Heath Elliot, "He blocked [the car] off and got out and shot all three in the vehicle."

Those who knew the couple say Easterwood had been served with a criminal trespass notice to stay away from Dismuke.

Says one of Easterwood's old neighbors, "The law should have been more involved with this case and took [sic] it more serious, and none of this would have happened."

Continues Elliot, "There was [sic] calls that he had rode down the street where she was living on or he would come in the store when she was in the store. There was nothing [deputies] could charge him with."

Investigators say the .22-caliber rifle Easterwood used to shoot the three hasn't been recovered.

The Decatur County dive team pitched in to help search nearby Spring Creek where they say Easterwood could have dumped the weapon.

Christy Scott died on scene after being shot.

Her husband, Rodney Scott, was taken to Donalsonville Hospital, and Stacie Dismuke was life flighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Both later died from gunshot wounds.

Authorities say Easterwood was arrested at his home about an hour after the shooting.

He is being held in the Seminole County Jail and faces three felony murder charges.

The Scotts leave behind a 5-year-old girl. Dismuke leaves behind an 8-year-old boy.
