Cairo, GA- Dozens of people came out to enjoy the annual Martin Luther King Day celebration in Cairo.
Students, members of the community, local businesses and church groups took part in a parade along Broad Street.
The annual event is hosted by the MLK Collaborative of Grady County.
Many of the residents we spoke to said they look forward to the celebration every year and think it's a great way to honor Doctor King's legacy.
"We just really need to go back and remind ourselves of what Doctor Martin Luther King stood for; for us to be united as one country," said Cairo resident Yvonne Stewart.
Following the parade, residents met up at Holder Park and enjoyed a free lunch together.
