The Georgia State Patrol is reminding everyone to drive with caution this time of year.
They say it's the most dangerous.
Both GSP and Allstate officials recommend eliminating distractions like texting while driving, applying makeup and changing radio stations.
They say looking away from the road could cost you your life.
"Best thing for us to convey to the motoring public is to be safe and not drink and drive cause we will be beefed up for drinking and driving this year," said Georgia State Patrol trooper B.F. Williams.
During the Christmas holiday period last year, GSP reports 1,948 crashes, including 11 fatalities.
