So far, 948 Lowndes County citizens have voted early in the General Election.
Seven local races are on the ballot: two county commission seats, three school board races and special elections to fill Remerton and Valdosta City Council positions.
Some voters say they've never missed an opportunity to head to the polls.
"It's an obligation of the citizens of this country to get out and vote,"
Carl Hackworth, 71, of Valdosta. "Cause if you don't vote, you can't complain about nothin'. You have no complaint whatsoever, if the world comes to an end and you didn't vote you got a problem."
Citizens can vote Monday through Friday at the Board of Elections from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
