Ron Dixon, the owner of Al Dixon's on Broad Street knows that every year this parade is his business' time to shine.

With all the extra foot traffic around, you never really know who is going to show up.

Michaela Lackey, Miss Georgia says, "Ta da! (laughs) Thank you! First impression is wow first with the Roses and the second would be how nice everyone is they've been very sweet"

Downtown merchants are hoping that everyone will be just as sweet to them over the next few days.
