Lowndes County, GA -
A 90-year old woman was robbed at gun point yesterday afternoon in Lowndes County. The woman left her home at 5005 North Oak Street Extension to chase squirrels off her lawn. That's when an unkown african american male approached her with a gun and demanded money. He followed her back into the house and took cash before running away on foot. That's when the sheriff's office tried to track him down with their canine unit.
Lieutenant Stryde Jones of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office said "where she lives on North Oak Street Extension, very high volume of traffic. Also a very large volume of people that walk back and forth from the neighborhoods to the store so our canine unit was not able to obtain any meaningful tracks."
The offender is described in his mid to late twenties, clean shaven and short to medium hair. If anyone has information about this crime contact the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office.
