[UPDATED] Thomasville, Georgia - October 20, 2011

Investigators served a warrant to Paradise Internet Cafe back on October 6th. They told us an undercover operation revealed illegal gambling was taking place. On Thursday, our cameras drove through the plaza where the cafe is located to see if the place was opened for business.

The light was on and customers were walking in, but they declined to talk to us. There is no word from police as to why the doors are back open, but staff inside tell us it's business as usual.

Paradise Internet Cafe did provide WCTV with release regarding the reopening. Find that document above.

We will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.

This is a true legitimate business and as you will see there's currently no text within the Ga statue that prohibits this type of business. Referring to this as a "gambling house" shows the lack of knowledge of the technical term "gambling" and "electronic sweepstakes"..WHEN this internet sweepstakes and monopoly sweepstakes are dissected and placed side by side THEY are the same thing, NOW before you chatter off that they are NOT the same I ask you "What makes a sweepstakes?" If you can not answer this then you shouldnt comment because you dont have a clue as to whats going on. Your merely an arm chair QB..CR

McDonald's,Burger King,KFC, Dunkin Donuts, are stealing from the people over seas. I was in Malaysia and went to all three. The food sucked, prices are 5xs higher then we pay. There so called big mac was the size of a kids meal, kfc chicken was cut in half and dry with no flavor,etc...So stop crying over spelled milk and be graceful of where you are and know the food is better.

If an internet cafe isn't a legitimate business because its a scam operation, then so is McDonalds when they roll out their annual Monopoly game. Same exact thing.

McDonalds Corp. is a national company that sells fast food and drinks to the public and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. It is a restaurant that generates income to operate a business from selling food and drinks. If it ceased to offer the monopoly marketing game it would still exist as a profitable company because it isn't their product. After purchasing their food, I don't see kids and adults gambling the slots multiple times at any McDonalds to win cash from the register drawer. You are just stupid to make any comparison between the two and just as stupid to think anyone would agree with your point of view.

An internet cafe is not a legitimate business and other reputable business owners want no part of this scam operation. Of course the owner wants to keep the doors open so he can continue to make a lot of money by stealing from others. The owners might as well pick pocket whomever walks in their door.

Somebody probably told the cops there was a half smoked joint in the back room so they went in with full body armour and guns drawn. I don't really care to have these places around but they aren't breaking any laws so leave them alone. Also, where is the apology from law enforcement for making them look as if they were criminals? Bet we never hear that one.

The only reason why "illegal gambling" is illegal is because the government can't collect taxes from it. So they make anything illegal they can not steal from.

These cafes have exploded in Florida. Tallahassee had 52 at one time. Now there are 14 and they are closing fast. Along with them came other crimes. Drugs and prostitution among them. In fact, there is a website online this morning where a girl with a stage name of " Lilly Love and 18 year old Lexi" are advertising that they are moving to Thomasville. They have run out of options in Florida. I am from Thomasville and know the citizens will not put up with advertised prostitution. Google the stage name and you will see her intentions. If you look up her Florida DOC record she has 14 felonies from aggravated assault to cocaine possession. She works for an older business man that was recently arrested in Tallahassee for promoting prostitution. Look up and remember her picture. She is coming to Thomasville to scam your money and buy and sell crack cocaine.

@ Lilly Love. Any back up on your claim to Tallahassee having 52 at one time? Every one that has operated inside the city limits of Tallahassee (15-ish) is still alive and well. Free market baby!!!!
