Thomasville, GA - A two-car crash in Thomasville left one person dead and sent another to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened at the intersection of State Route 122 and Airport Road.
Thomas County Sheriff Deputies responded to the call at 3:19 Tuesday Afternoon.
The person driving a small sedan was killed in the crash. The driver of a pickup truck was sent to a nearby hospital.
Officials say it took longer than 2 hours to clear the scene.
They don't know how the accident happened yet, but say the investigation is ongoing.
Right now they're looking for the deceased crash victim's family before they can identify anybody.
"The critical part of this was trying to find a next of kin," said Capt. Steve Jones of the Thomas County Sheriff's Office. "It's been difficult because we've been searching more than one county to locate someone."
