It's March! And in Valdosta that means it's time for the Azalea festival once again.
Hundreds came out Saturday for the 13th annual festival in Drexel Park.
Even WCTV's own Greg Gullberg got in on the fun. He spent hours painting children's faces. Butterflies, stars and footballs.
Gullberg volunteered with the Children's Advocacy Center. Their tent is raising donations for victims of abuse. The center is in need of toys, non-perishable foods and of course financial donations.
Attendees of the festival came from all over South Georgia and enjoyed a 5-K run, Kid's Zone, roaming jugglers and of course plenty of Funnel Cakes.
Jae'Da & Isis are local students who tell Gullberg they had a great time.
"We walked on water, that was fun," Jae'Da said.
"It was really rolling on water, we were in the little thing," Isis said.
"And we got funnel cakes. It was so good," Jae'Da said.
Mary Grace is another local student who tells Gullberg she had the time of her life.
"I went on the walking on water where you go inside the tube and walked in it and I ate ice cream," Mary Grace said.
The Azalea Festival continues Sunday March 11th from 10am to 5pm.
