The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Frederick Cody was out of prison on bond for child molestation charges when he went to the home of another former inmate late last week (3/14-18) to borrow some money.
Deputies say when Cody arrived, he took the cash and fled to a waiting car, but the victim of the robbery blocked the escape vehicle with his own truck.
TCSO says Cody's attorney called them Monday (3/21) to say his client was on his way to their office but the suspect never arrived.
They say Cody's father later turned his son over to deputies.
