Georgia was one of 12 states that won money from the U.S.

Department of Educations race to the top program. The peach state will receive 400 million dollars ... 19 of that will be set aside to build innovative programs that will improve student learning. Grants will be given out to charter schools, colleges among others.

    What a joke! Race to the top is just like the stimulus money, it is not free! We will have to pay it back or jump through impossible hoops to use it. Wise up people. Schools are in horrible shape and this will not help but make our deficit worse.
