ATHENS, Ga. -- July 15, 2012
Investigators are asking the public's help solving the slaying of an Athens banker whose body was found at the bottom of a well.
The Athens Banner-Herald reports that the GBI asks anyone with information about the death of Charles Stephen Parker to get in touch.
Parker's body was found last February in a well in Oglethorpe County. He had been shot to death.
Parker lived in Monroe and worked as a banker in Athens. His family last saw him alive Jan. 15 at a Lithonia church. Later that day he went with another man to inspect a property in Madison County.
Anyone who believes they might have information that could help the investigation is asked to call the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Athens regional office at (706) 552-2309.
