VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) -- U.S. Attorney's officials say a south Georgia man has pleaded guilty to two counts of counterfeiting.

Prosecutors say 25-year-old Jonathan Moody, of Nashville, entered his plea last Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Valdosta.

Prosecutors say Moody admitted to counterfeiting $100 and $20 bills to make purchases and received genuine currency as change from merchants in the Valdosta area.

Officials say Moody faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 on each count.

Moody is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 28.
