Associated Press Release
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. (AP) -- Georgia's hospital for sick and injured sea turtles on Jekyll Island plans to return two more of its patients to the wild.
The Georgia Sea Turtle Center was scheduled Friday to release Cinnamon, a loggerhead sea turtle found weak and thin on Blackbeard Island in June, and Ebb, a green sea turtle found dehydrated on Jekyll Island last month, at the state park's beachside Great Dunes Park.
Sea Turtle Center officials say it's the third time this month that pairs of turtles have been returned to the ocean after recovering sufficiently to survive in the wild.
The center says it has cleared more than 30 of its turtle patients for release this year.
