Valdosta, GA - Residents in Georgia will have a chance to pick up deals on back to school supplies and save money this weekend.
The state's sales tax holiday starts Friday and runs through Sunday.
That means you can buy school supplies, clothing, and electronics all tax free.
"If students are not prepared they're not going to be on top of their game. So it's important that they have all the supplies they need at the beginning of the school year. And I think this sales tax holiday is a great opportunity to go in and get those savings," said Laverne Rome with Lowndes Co Schools.
There are limits to Georgia's sales tax holiday. For example, a pair of shoes and an item of clothing can't cost more than 100 dollars each.
