ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal says a study will explore the possibility of launching public-private partnerships for the state's foster care system.
Deal made the announcement during a press conference at the state Capitol on Thursday. He says the program will be launched in two Georgia regions.
The move is part of a larger effort to re-evaluate family and children's services in Georgia.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Deal said he didn't think the state should wait until the next legislative session to start the program.
