ATLANTA (AP) -- Prosecutors say a man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 1991 rape and murder of a woman in Atlanta.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a news release from the Fulton County District Attorney's office says a jury convicted 47-year-old Larry Daniels on Friday in the death of Latrenda Jennings.
Daniels' sentence will run consecutively with the 12-year armed robbery sentence he received in 2009.
Prosecutors say Daniels raped and strangled the 25-year-old Jennings with her own belt in near Washington High School in west Atlanta. Joggers later found Jennings' partially nude body next to the school's track on April 21, 1991.
