Augusta, GA (AP) - Authorities say a teen athlete has died
while playing basketball at an Augusta YMCA.
Richmond County deputy coroner Johnny McDonald says 17-year-old
Vergil King died Monday afternoon. McDonald said the teen played
basketball for about 15 minutes before lying down on the ground and
having a seizure.
He was taken to Doctors Hospital, where he was pronounced dead
about 3:40 p.m.
McDonald said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will perform
an autopsy Tuesday to determine the cause of death. He said it
could be weeks before the cause is known.
The teen was a football player at Lakeside High School in Evans
outside of Augusta.

I hope they check to see whether or not he had Long QT Syndrome. I lost my wife back in 1990 and it sounds very similar. If the heart stops the person will seizure from lack of oxygyn to the brain. Too bad.
