DECATUR, Ga. (AP) -- Four DeKalb County firefighters are under
investigation after they were accused of showing up to work drunk
during the snowstorm.
DeKalb County Fire Chief William O'Brien said Friday that two
firefighters are on unpaid administrative leave and the other two
are under investigation.
The allegations come after a group of firefighters went to a Decatur bar after work on Tuesday night.
County Chief Operating Officer Richard Stogner said the officers
were supposed to work at 7 a.m. Wednesday but were called into work
early. He said that's when one employee called officials to report that several firefighters appeared intoxicated.
O'Brien told WGCL-TV it was an "active investigation" and he
couldn't identify the firefighters.
