Due to a mixture of rain and the possibility of temperatures dropping below freezing in South and Middle Georgia motorists could encounter hazardous driving conditions. These conditions could cause the possibility of ice forming on the roadway. Motorists traveling through South and Middle Georgia should first check with local news and weather outlets for weather conditions before attempting to drive on the roadways.
Georgia 511 is a free phone service that provides real-time traffic and travel information statewide, such as traffic conditions, incidents, lane closures, and delays due to inclement weather. Callers also can transfer to operators to request assistance or report incidents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
