Bainbridge, GA - Dozens of students spent the day taking over the city of Bainbridge.
Tuesday more than forty juniors from Bainbridge High School toured several different city departments, including City Hall and Public Services.
It was all part of the city's annual 'Student Government Day."
Students also stopped by Bainbridge Public Safety where officers talked to them about life in law enforcement and also showed them the different equipment they use on a daily basis.
Students, like junior Tyler Braswell, say the tour has been a great learning experience.
"I like it a lot," he said. "It's showed me a lot about the city that I didn't know and how everything works around here."
Student Government Day will continue Wednesday when students get the chance to shadow a city employee for the day.
The event will end Wednesday afternoon with students participating in a mock City Council meeting.
