Staff at South West Georgia Technical say the college's enrollment increased by 5.8% this fall. They tell us they do feel the unemployment rate has folks looking for other options to stay productive.

Staff tell us the school purchased $800,000 worth of land to build on so it can have enough room for its ever-growing student population.

"We're hoping that in the future we continue to see enrollment growth like we have this fall semester -- 5.8 percent -- the largest in the technical college system," says South West Georgia Technical College employee Amy Maison.

How are they paying for it? Loans...and hoping they'll find a job to pay it back?
