Thomasville Fire Department is run off of the Utilities budget. There is no fire tax in the City of Thomasville. They are under staffed like 90% of fire departments in the state of Georgia. Thomasville very rarely loses any houses, becuase of training and response times. The fire was in between the sheet rock and the brick for around and hour so no one knew until it was too late and the house was a lost when the fire department was notified.

Thoamsville Fire Department not only responds to house fires but rescues like swift water rescue, high angle rescue, hazardous materials that are very dangerous, medical emergencys, vehicle accidents, structural collopse and many more. So if you cut their budget you cut their saftey and the people in the community.
