In his black and white striped polo, 22-year-old Donterrius Johnson stared emotionless as he heard the verdict.

Johnson was found guilty on two counts of felony murder in the deaths of Michael McCaskill and Robert Crawford, one count of aggravated assault and one count of armed robbery.

"Mr. McCaskill had suffered anoxic brain injury as a result of an assault," said Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner Michelle Sims.

Medical Examiners with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation told the jury how the two victims died from blunt force trauma.

Prosecutors say these brass knuckles were the murder weapon used to kill the men.

But the defense countered saying poor treatment in a nursing home was the cause of the others death.

However, the prosecution asked the jury to look at what put the men in hospitals, showing pictures of the victims shirts with prints of shoes where they were kicked and eventually peed on before being left to die.

A demonstration prosecutors performed before the jury.

"No matter where they come from or what they're doing they still deserve to live," said Crawford's son, Robert Crawford IV.

Johnson's sentencing is set for September 26 at 9:30 AM.
