At Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, health care specialists helped people 65 and older select the best prescription drug plans for their needs.

Medicare members can choose from 32 different programs for 2011.

Each tailored to different medication plans at a reasonable cost.

"A lot of times they're calling insurance agents and those agents have ulterior motives," said Linda Gail, a Southern GeorgiaCares coordinator. "They want them to enroll in their company. But we are non-biased. We are not tied to any insurance companies. So, we're just giving them the facts."

The following four workshops are scheduled in south Georgia before enrollment ends December 31:

Douglass Workshop - December 15, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Brunswick Workshop - December 16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Kingsland Workshop - December 17, 9 a.m. to Noon
Waycross Workshop - December 17, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
