A bipartisan group of lawmakers has filed suit, challenging the U-S participation in the nearly three-month-old mission in Libya.
They contend the Obama administration is violating the War Powers Resolution, which sets a deadline for the president to get the authorization of congress when involving U-S troops abroad.
House Speaker John Boehner says the 90-day deadline expires Sunday.
Republican Congressman Walter Jones is also part of the bipartisan group.
Here's what he had to say:
"Why and how are we going into Libya? Yes, is Gadhafi and evil man, certainly, but where are you Congress? Why didn't the President come to the Congress...?"
The White House says President Obama acted within his authority as chief executive and noted the president had limited the U-S role in the mission from the start.
