Valdosta, GA - A lot of smiles were made today in Valdosta.
The Flower Gallery is participating in national Make Someone Smile Week put on by Telaflora. The flower shop put together 130 arrangements made of white and yellow daisies as well as yellow roses all in a smiley face mug. They took the flowers to a local assisted living facility this morning. They said they participate in the week every year as their contribution to the community.
"We do it because we want to give back to the community and this is a way with all the florists and Telaflora and the wholesalers that donate the flowers. It's a way to contribute and to give back to the community," said Susan Mullis, Flower Gallery Owner.
All the materials were donated and Flower Gallery donated their time during the assembling of the flowers arrangements as well as the during the delivery. They were the only flower shop in Valdosta to participate in the national week.
