Thomasville, GA- Some local law enforcement officers traded in their badges for aprons Thursday.
Police Officers, Sheriff's Deputies and firefighters from Thomasville and Thomas County fired up the grills for their 11th Annual Goodwill Project.
They prepared more than a thousand chicken dinners to sell to members of the community.
All of the proceeds will go for a good cause.
"This goes to supporting needy families throughout the year and at Christmas time," said Henry Williams with the Thomasville Police Department. "We we also support the needy children in the special needs field at the school systems."
Tickets for this event have been sold for the past two months.
Organizers want to remind folks they have until 7 o'clock Thursday night to pick up their chicken dinners from the Thomasville Police Department.
