Quitman, GA- Police officers are teaming up with local organizations to make the holidays special for those in need.
The Quitman Police Department, DFACS, and Family Connections worked together Friday to pass out presents to nearly 200 families.
Captain Calvin Troy with the Quitman Police Department said they've received hundreds of donations throughout the community and from the Brooks County School system.
"Working in law enforcement, I have seen a lot of families that just can't provide for their families," he said. "So that's the reason we come in; to help these families."
Captain Troy says their goal is make sure every child has a present to unwrap on Christmas morning.
He said they will have extra gifts for anyone who is still in need.
