U.S. Army Specialist Jermichael Wilson just returned to Georgia after serving 11 months in Afghanistan.

"I'm excited; glad to be home and glad to reunite with my daughter," he said.

Wilson's first stop was to surprise his third grade daughter, Jaylen.

"That's all she talks about is her dad coming home, and how she's going to be with her dad," said proud mother and grandmother, Georgia Wilson.

Jaylen had no idea what was about to come as she sat in her music class at Potter Street Elementary in Bainbridge.

It was an emotional reunion; one that left the little girl speechless.

The rest of the family was just as overwhelmed.

"I'm glad to be back in one piece from over there you know," Specialist Wilson said. "I mean it's just awesome."

"I'm so excited and I'm so proud of my son," added Georgia Wilson. "I'm so happy that he's back home with me safely."

Specialist Wilson was able to join Jaylen for lunch before parting ways again, but this time, only for a few hours.

"I'll only be here for two weeks, but she'll get a lot of my time while i'm here," he said.

After Wilson's visit, he will return to Fort Carson, Colorado where he is currently stationed.
