Thomasville GA -- April 4, 2012 --
With Passover and Easter this weekend, the New Covenent church in Thomasville is putting on a community event unlike any other.
It's called "The Forgotten Passover". As you can see, the church has decorated the interior of it's gymnasium to take it's guests back to the time of Jesus and the Apostles. The goal is to bring the stories of The Last Supper and Passover sader to life.
"They'll be able to walk through a street in Jerusalem, they'll be transported back to the First Century, we hope, that is our desire. And they will be able to see the shops," said Joan Caldwell, the church's special events director.
Everything is meant to be as it was in the First Century, including no utensils at dinner! The dinner theater runs Thursday through Saturday, and you can contact New Covenent church for tickets at 229-226-3246.
