A man is charged with aggravated assault after cutting another person with a butcher knife.
It happened July 4, around 9:00 a.m. at 750 East Pinetree Boulevard in Thomasville.
According to Thomas County Sheriff Steve Jones, Jose Alberto Brillas, 32, pulled out a butcher knife during an argument with his ex-girlfriend.
When the ex-girlfriends sister, 38-year-old Beata Ray, stepped in to protect her, Brillas cut Ray on both hands.
