Two students take a joy ride on a school bus and are found in Worth County.

According to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, 17-year-old Robert Montague and a 15-year-old found the keys inside the school bus parked at Pine Grove Middle School Friday night.

The two drove it to Worth County where, according to the police report, a Worth County Sheriff's deputy found the bus with the boys inside. The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office was contacted to take the boys back to Lowndes County.

"It was an opportunity and easy to steal the bus and they had a family member that drove a school bus so they had a little bit of knowledge they thought and that was their reasoning for taking the bus," said Lt. Stryde Jones of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office.

The teens were charged with vehicle theft.
