The public is being asked for input on Lowndes County's 2013 budget proposal.
The county commission held a public hearing Tuesday morning but county officials say hardly anyone attended. The proposed budget calls for about $94 million. They say that estimate is a very conservative one.
"As always the commissioners tasked us with being very conservative and making sure that we maintain the current level of all of our citizens and we've been able to put together a balanced budget without any anticipated change in the millage rate," said Stephanie Black. Lowndes County Finance Director.
The next budget meeting will be held June 26th.
