More than 900 Lowndes County faculty members gathered at Pine Grove Elementary School for its first technology expo.
Teachers were divided into groups to learn skills like how to use SMARTBoards, iPods and wikis.
The hope is they will implement these new technologies in their classrooms.
"I do a lot of videos in the rooms with kids acquiring new skills and things and I learned today how to convert that to a WMV file," said Paul Abbott, a pre-K special needs teacher at Clyattville Elementary. "So, I can post it on a webpage or a Wiki page."
Officials say both Pine Grove and Westside Elementary are equipped with SMARTBoards.
And that hosting the conference at its newest facility, didn't cost taxpayers a dime.
