Meigs, GA- A weekend shooting sends one man to the hospital and another to jail.
According to Thomas County Sheriff's Deputies, it happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators say the two men, 35-year-old Terrence Reese and 35-year-old DeWayne Cochran, were arguing outside of Reese's home along Duren Street in Meigs.
That's when they say Reese went inside, got a gun, then returned and shot Cochran once as he was sitting inside a vehicle.
Reese is now facing several charges.
"Right now he's facing aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon," said Captain Steve Jones, with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office. "More charges are pending against him and of course a lot is going to depend on the victim."
At last check, deputies say Cochran was listed in critical condition at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
Investigators believe the argument was drug-related.
