Cairo, GA - According to Lt. Eric Hampton with the Thomasville Police Department, 46 year-old Mark Allen Flynn was arrested on October 13, 2012 in Cairo.
Lt. Hampton has also confirmed that Flynn is charged in Thomasville with rape, aggravated child molestation, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Flynn had been described by victims and witnesses as driving a red truck and was impersonating a police officer in multiple counties, including Grady County and Mitchell County.
According to reports, Cairo Police stopped Flynn after he failed to use a turn signal. Flynn matched the description of the suspect and vehicle that had been described by several people in connection to multiple sexual assault complaints.
The most recent complaint was October 12, the day before Flynn's arrest. A woman told police a man repeatedly tried to pick her up as she was walking in the area.
Flynn is currently being held in the Grady County Jail, because that's where Cairo Police made the arrest.
In Grady County, Flynn is charged with impersonating a police officer, kidnapping, and aggravated sodomy. We are told Flynn did not know his victim, however investigators are not releasing any further information in regards to the victim.
