[UPDATE] Man Accused of Murder Arrested in South Georgia

Valdosta, GA - Sheriff Chris Prine asked that you be advised that Xavier Adams, who was arrested on March 24 for active murder warrants issued in Comanche County, Oklahoma, appeared before a Lowndes County Magistrate Judge for an arraignment hearing this afternoon. During this hearing Xavier Adams waived his right to an extradition hearing and agreed to be transported back to Oklahoma.

No exact date for his return in known but law enforcement from Comanche County will be picking him up in the near future.


Valdosta, GA - On March 24 deputies of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by the Lawton, Oklahoma Police Department regarding Xavier Deangelo Adams who was being sought in connection to the murder of two {2} persons in that city. Detectives from the Lawton Police Department traveled to Valdosta and requested assistance.

A local investigation, conducted by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and assisted by the Special Operations Division, revealed that Xavier Adams was living at 480 Murray Road – Valdosta and employed at a local business. At approximately 3:30 p.m. Xavier Adams was arrested at his place of employment without incident and transported to the Lowndes County Jail.

Adams is being held at the jail, for two {2} counts of Murder in the First Degree, without bail, and will attend an arraignment hearing tomorrow where he will decide to waive extradition or will be held until a Governor’s Warrant is issued by the State of Oklahoma.
