Gwinnett County authorities say a Norcross man killed his dog and started a fire in his apartment. Gwinnett Fire spokesman Tommy Rutledge says a neighbor called authorities after smelling smoke at an apartment complex early Friday.
Rutledge says firefighters arrived and found no one inside the
smoking apartment. He says the fire was out, and firefighters found
blood inside the apartment and a dead dog. Rutledge says that while authorities were investigating, a wet, bloody, naked man approached the apartment.
Rutledge says the man, identified as a resident of the apartment, was taken to the Gwinnett Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
