-- Valdosta, Ga. -- May 11, 2012 --
On Friday May 4th Joey Christi's home was burglarized. His computer, gaming systems, iPad and even cologne were all gone. A few days later he went on Craigslist and there he saw an ad for his own iPad.
It was being sold by a man named Travis Anderson.
Joey said "I went to go see the detective that day and pulled it up on the computer for them. And he had his phone number on there saying call or text if you're interested."
That's exactly what the Valdosta Police Department did. Lieutenant Aaron Kirk said "detectives worked undercover. They made contact with him and met him somewhere here in Valdosta. And when they met him and determined or identified the items as stolen they arrested him for theft by receiving stolen property."
Joey went on to say "Craigslist is basically an online posting service for anything you want to post about, from forums to for sale to community events to jobs, it's basically an online black market."
Travis Anderson is being held at the Lowndes County Jail.
